About Ms. Christina Walker

Known to many as Coach Chris, Christina Walker is entering her third year as the Athletic Director at SPSV, where her passion for athletics and education continues to inspire students and athletes alike.

An alumna of SPSV (Class of 2006), Coach Chris has been a dedicated educator and coach since returning to her alma mater. She has served as an English teacher for seven years and has spent the past two years in the Physical Education Department.

Coach Chris’s coaching career is marked by impressive achievements. As Head Coach of the Girls Golf Team for nine seasons, she led the program to four consecutive League Championships and captured the NCS Division II Section Championship in 2016. On the boys’ side, she coached the golf team to back-to-back League Championships in 2018 and 2019. In addition, she spent 12 years as Assistant Coach for the Girls Varsity Basketball Program, helping lead the team to two Section Championships and a League Championship. In her debut season as Head Coach for Varsity Girls Basketball (2024–2025), she guided the team to a Section Championship.

Coach Chris is a proud graduate of California State University, East Bay, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication while competing on the Pioneer Women’s Golf Team. She also holds an associate degree from the Golf Academy of America, as well as a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration and a Master of Science in Coaching and Exercise Science from Concordia University Irvine.

Deeply rooted in the values and spirit of SPSV, Coach Chris takes great pride in her personal and professional journey. She credits her success to the transformative experience she had as a student at SPSV and remains committed to giving back to the school community that shaped her.
